Our technical team has put together a few simple steps that may help resolve common issues. Here are five useful tips to get your device working smoothly again.
1. Check Your Charger and Cable Connections
-
Plug your device into a power source using a USB cable and wall adapter, or a USB 2.0/3.0 port on a computer.
-
If charging is slow or not working, inspect the USB cable and adapter for damage.
-
Make sure everything is firmly connected and that you're using a working power outlet.
-
Check the charging port for dust or debris — this can block the connection. If charging still doesn’t work after cleaning, the port may need to be replaced.
2. Clean the Charging or Headphone Port
-
Use a wooden toothpick to gently remove dust or lint from the port.
-
Carefully move it along the edges inside the port, then wipe the toothpick with a cloth or paper towel.
-
Repeat until the toothpick comes out clean. Do not use metal objects, as they may damage the port.
3. Prevent Your Device from Overheating
-
Use your device in temperatures between 0º–35ºC (32º–95ºF).
-
Avoid leaving it in hot environments like a parked car or direct sunlight.
-
Limit high-performance tasks (like GPS, games, or AR apps) in hot conditions.
-
Some warmth during use is normal and should cool down on its own.
4. Keep Your Software Up to Date
Make sure your device is running the latest software version.
-
iOS: Go to Settings > General > Software Update
-
Android: Go to Settings > System > System Update
5. Restore Your Device to Factory Settings (Using a Computer)
If the issue continues, try restoring your device:
-
On Mac with macOS Catalina or later: Open Finder
-
On Mac with Mojave or earlier, or on Windows PC: Open iTunes
Connect your device, select it, and choose Restore. (Make sure to back up your data first.)
