Once you set up your iPhone you may see an "Important Message" from Apple regarding your battery, display or camera, e.g. "Important Battery Message - Unable to verify this iPhone has a genuine Apple battery" or "Unknown Part" under the "Parts and Service History" section in Settings.
We understand that seeing any warnings on your device may cause unease. Rest assured that these types of warnings are a normal occurrence for some refurbished iPhones. In fact, Apple programs these messages to appear automatically when their own proprietary parts are not used during the repair.
What do the messages mean?
These messages show when repair work has been done to the device and provide information on which component was replaced (e.g. battery, screen or camera, depending on the iPhone model).
Only an Apple Genius Bar or an Apple Authorized Service Provider can replace a component in the latest iPhones without triggering this notification.
However, this does not mean that your battery (or other component) has a problem or is defective. It just means that it was replaced with a new component that works just as effectively as the original one.
How long will these messages appear?
These messages do not affect your device's performance and are visible on the lock screen for 4 days and then for 15 more days in Settings. Once again, it's essential to note that getting this message doesn't imply that your battery has any issues - it only means that it was replaced with a new battery that works as efficiently as the original one.
What are the types of messages that appear?
The type of message depends on the iOS version you're using. To see which components (if any) have been replaced:
- For iOS 15.2 and later, go to Settings > General > About > Parts and Service History
- For iOS versions earlier than 15.2, go to Settings > Battery > Battery Health (for battery) and Settings > General > About (for camera and display)
Replacements not performed by Apple will always appear as an "Unknown Part". These components are functionally identical to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) equivalents and won't perform any differently.
Vendors on Reebelo submit their devices through comprehensive testing to verify like-new condition and functionality. In the rare case that something goes wrong, you're still covered by our 12 month warranty.
